Chief Anthony W. Williams, M.ED.
Chief Anthony W. Williams, M.ED. graduated from the Marine Military Academy in 1981. He studied extensively in the Dallas County Community College District and received his master’s degree from Prairie View A&M University in educational administration. He also earned his undergraduate degree in business management.
Chief Anthony was employed by the City of Dallas as a Law Enforcement Officer in 1984, where he rose to the level of Lieutenant Commander. He held positions as a commander in the Southwest Patrol Division, Communications, Inter-Active Community Policing Unit, Office of the Chief of Police, Helicopter Unit Commander, Public Information Office, and the Central Business District.
He attended professional management schools at Texas A&M Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute, Southwest Law Enforcement Institute, and Institute for Law Enforcement Administration.
Chief Anthony served as Chief of Police at Southern Arkansas University and Chief of Police Cedar Valley College. He was the instructor and curriculum developer for the University of Arkansas’ Criminal Justice Institute, Bill Blackwood: Law Enforcement Management Institute (LEMIT), and the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration. He also served as adjunct professor for Paul Quinn and Cedar Valley Colleges.
